Content Camp

Content Camp was a collaborative assessment authoring project, developed by Ohio State in partnership with the Unizin Consortium, the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) and Pennsylvania State University.

High-quality open textbooks are increasingly available, yet professors still struggle to make the switch. This reluctance is driven, in part, by dependence on support materials like test banks. This project suggested a novel approach to this problem by recruiting faculty from across our institutions to collaboratively author a high quality, shareable solution to remove this barrier.

In addition to Content Camp events, Ohio State had partnered with Penn State to develop a web-based tool to facilitate the question-authoring process. Ultimately, the tool was intended to be available at no cost to instructors across the country who are looking for high-quality, textbook-agnostic test questions to use in their courses.
